Day 30:

Nature

Verse Startوَٱللَّهُ أَنۢبَتَكُم مِّنَ ٱلْأَرْضِ نَبَاتًۭاVerse End

“Allah ˹alone˺ caused you1 to grow from the earth like a plant.”

Surah Nuh 71:17

Coaching Insight

We arise from the Earth like a plant. This ayah speaks deeply to my heart. I always knew our connection to nature is far beyond what any mind can conceive. The words keep knocking on my soul; God has caused us to grow from the earth like plants, and we also embody the same qualities as trees, flowers, and forests – it’s endless.

Within us, we have qualities like surrender, love, peace, and growth. We instinctively know how to support each other. We are grounded by the Earth and breathe in the essence of heaven, shower in holy water and get bathed in the sun. We often see ourselves as separate entities, yet we are all one, as humans and together with Mother Earth. As the Quran mentions in this verse, we were created from soil, and then the Divine breathed into our souls. The Earth is our essence, and God’s light lives within us.

I love this quote by Rumi, “Have you ever seen a seed fallen to earth not rise with a new life? Why should you doubt the rise of a seed named human.”  When we return to our true essence, our seed, and are in the right environment and watered by what our heart and body needs, we rise with grace.

“Everything in nature invites us constantly to be what we are”

Daily Practice

If you are able, stand barefoot on grass. (If this isn’t possible, stand where you are and envision yourself standing in a wide field of green.)

Close your eyes and take a few deep breaths. With every exhale, feel your weight gently sinking into the ground.

Feel your feet rooted within the Earth – standing strong, steady, and supported.
Now, feel the Earth’s energy moving through you.

Take a moment to feel like nature, feel grounded, visualize your roots, and tune into the energies of peace and love; surrendering and always growing without fear

Book Reference

“Hello, look into the mirror; I am nature.

Do you see our shared essence?

Polish your soul, and you will feel it.

Look deeply into your reflection,

breathe, and witness love, patience, surrender

an endless will to give and receive.

Always remain connected, steady, and grounded,

growing each day, even if our companions

can’t perceive the subtle shifts.

Always stay content with who you are

and where you stand.

Look at me, I am you, and you are me.

Love nature.”
