Divine Flow
“He said, “My Lord, put my heart at peace for me * And ease my task for me * And untie the knot from my tongue * So they can understand my speech”
Surah Taha 20:25,26,27,28
These verses are Prophet Moses’s prayers for empowerment as he prepared to confront Pharaoh with the existence of God. The prayer is seeking God’s help to expand his heart with peace, to ease his challenging journey and allow his speech to come forth with flow and ease. This can apply to our lives when we want to speak our truth, yet we feel unable to, worried from judgments, sarcasm, or misunderstanding. In such moments, our chest tightens, we feel breathless and blocked. This prayer clears the way, from the tightness of the chest, to the words we long to express.
Modern psychology shows that fear tightens the chest and activates stress responses in the body, making speech harder to access. When the chest relaxes, the breath becomes steady, and the mind clears, allowing our words to flow. This mirrors the prayer of Moses: asking God to open the heart first, so the tongue can follow.
It’s important that we try to set fear aside and tune into that universe within.
When we become open to God, anything can flow through us. When we rely solely on ourselves, we will feel limited and almost speechless. These verses advocate for bravery, love and truth. They inspire us to seek Divine guidance, empowering us to overcome personal barriers and genuinely bring forth our soul’s voice, guided by God.
“Before speaking, consult your inner-truth barometer, and resist the temptation to tell people only what they want to hear.”
Wayne Dyer
Start your day by reciting this prayer, slowly and with intention.
Through the day, repeat it before communicating something important with your family, partner, friend, or work colleague, or before any challenging moment, such as speaking up, making a decision, setting a boundary, or asking for help.
Feel the divine flow moving through your heart and into your speech.
Trust that clarity, strength, and the right response do not come from you alone, but flow from God through you.
“Be a living, breathing example of the Highest Truth that resides within you. Speak humbly of yourself, lest someone mistake your Highest Truth for boast. Speak softly, lest someone think you are merely calling for attention. Speak gently, that all might know of Love. Speak openly, lest someone think you have something to hide. Speak candidly, so you cannot be mistaken. Speak often, so that your word may truly go forth. Speak respectfully, that no one be dishonored. Speak lovingly, that every syllable may heal. Speak of Me with every utterance. Make of your life a gift. Remember always, you are the gift!”
Conversations with God – Neale Donald Walsch
“There’s courage involved if you want to become Truth.”
