Day 80:

Dawn

وَالْفَجْرِ

“By Dawn”

Surah Al-Fajr 89:1

Coaching Insight

Dawn is fueled with secrets as Rumi mentions. A waterfall of love and blessings showers upon us during the early hours of the morning. The word “By” before dawn signifies that it is a Divine promise.

Scholars say dawn is the moment when the veils are thinnest, when the heart can hear what it misses during the noise of the day. Science also shows that the brain at dawn is more clear, calm, and receptive, helping us think, pray, and create with deeper presence.

Plants also begin shifting their internal chemistry before the first hint of light, preparing to open, breathe, and awaken. Our soul and body too, inspired by nature, enter a state of openness at this time, like a fresh canvas ready to receive new insights, and secrets.

In Islamic tradition, dawn is one of the most sacred times, the first prayer of the day. At that hour, you almost feel alone with God, the sky still holding its darkness, the breeze touching your lungs with peace and tranquility.

“Be patient where you sit in the dark. Dawn is coming”

Rumi

Daily Practice

Try to wake up at Dawn tomorrow and connect to your Creator.

Breathe deeply and allow peace to fill your heart.

Be present with the moon, the quiet stillness, and the first sounds of nature.

Witness how the rising sun brings life to the Earth. Use this powerful flood of love to awaken your own power.

Try to listen to the whispers of God within your soul.

Carry the stillness within you as you plan your day ahead.

Book Reference

“The breeze at dawn has secrets to tell you.
Don’t go back to sleep.

You must ask for what you really want.
Don’t go back to sleep.

People are going back and forth across the doorsill
where the two worlds touch.

The door is round and open.
Don’t go back to sleep.”

Rumi

“When you give yourself the gift of some morning peace away from your busyness, the hardwired capacity of every human brain to access the realm of pure genius becomes activated.

“So, when you’re wiring in this priceless new morning routine, the entire structure of your brain really is in upheaval as you manufacture new neural pathways. Your whole system really is being restructured.”
