Change of Heart
You never know, perhaps Allah will bring about a change ˹of heart˺ later.
Surah Al Talaq 65:1
Life is always changing; situations shift, hearts change, and new paths open when we least expect them. What feels permanent today may be different tomorrow. A door that seems closed might one day lead somewhere you never imagined.
We like to believe we have life figured out, but then everything shifts. And that’s the point: you never know. God Himself reminds us of this in this verse. It’s as if He’s telling you, “Just wait… you never know.” What seems final now may not be the end. His plan is always evolving in ways beyond our understanding.
This verse was revealed in the context of divorce – a painful, life-altering moment. It’s a reminder to be patient, because change can happen. Hearts can soften. Perspectives can shift. What feels like an ending today may lead to something unexpected tomorrow.
This verse is a beautiful lesson in trusting Divine timing. What feels like a loss could actually be a redirection. Maybe what weighs heavy on your heart today is leading to something better than you ever imagined. Try to stay open. Stay patient. You never know…
“God takes away to give back better.”
Rumi
Think of a situation in your life that feels final. A relationship, a decision, or a closed door. Now remind yourself: “I don’t know what’s ahead, but that doesn’t mean this is the end.”
Let go of needing all the answers today. Instead of asking “Will this ever change?”, try “What if this is already changing in ways I can’t see?” Sit with that thought for a moment.
Move through your day knowing that God is always at work. You don’t have to figure it all out, just stay open to the possibility that what feels distant now may transform in ways only He knows.
“Am I better off making up an alternate reality in my mind and then fighting with reality to make it be my way, or am I better off letting go of what I want and serving the same forces of reality that managed to create the entire perfection of the universe around me? This experiment would not be about dropping out of life; it would be about leaping into life to live in a place where we are no longer controlled by our personal fears and desires. For a lack of a better name, I have called this “the surrender experiment.”
The Surrender Experiment – Michael A. Singer
“When we think something is going to bring us pleasure, we don’t know what’s really going to happen. When we think something is going to give us misery, we don’t know. Letting there be room for not knowing is the most important thing of all. We try to do what we think is going to help. But we don’t know. We never know if we’re going to fall flat or sit up tall. When there’s a big disappointment, we don’t know if that’s the end of the story. It may be just the beginning of a great adventure.”
