Day 88:

Divine Timing

وَلَا تَقُولَنَّ لِشَيْءٍ إِنِّي فَاعِلٌ ذَلِكَ غَدًا ﴿٢٣﴾ إِلَّا أَن يَشَاء الله

“And never say about anything, “I will do that tomorrow,” without adding, “if Allah so wills!””

Surah Al-Kahf 18:23,24

Coaching Insight

There is a Divine timing for everything in life. There is a plan unfolding that only the Divine holds the full picture of. However, it is important to understand that although everything has a destined time, the significance of your efforts does not diminish. The commitment to giving your best, trusting the process, and embracing each step forward aligns with the concept of ‘Insha’Allah’, which means “If God wills.”

It is a harmonious merging between personal effort and surrender, an attitude that brings resilience, patience, and trust. I wrote my book across seven years.

Every year, I thought it was ‘time’ to publish, but it turned out not to be so. I had to go through many events, circumstances, moments of death and rebirth, frustration, and various stages of awakening. My planned launch date was different from God’s launch date, which was actually ‘the right’ time in so many ways.

Every move opens a path to the next. So remember, with every intention, mention ‘Insha’Allah’, ‘if God wills’. Let your mind do the work, and your heart remain in full surrender. Remove the weight of thoughts like “it has to be now” or “it should already be.” All you can do is plan, move, and listen for God’s signs along the way, which may inspire a different timing or another path.

“Trust the Process,

one day at a time!

What’s for you is for you & no one

Can Stop That!”

Daily Practice

Today, contemplate on the aspects of your life you’ve been eager to see unfold.

Consider the hidden blessings that may exist within the Divine plan.

Journal or mentally list moments where you’ve already witnessed the intervention of divine timing in your life, even if you didn’t see it at first.

Maintain patience through this journey, trusting that there is a “right time” for everything.

Meanwhile, work hard toward your goals, knowing that every step brings you closer.

Repeat softly:

  1. “Ya Allah, Ya Rashīd” (ٱلرَّشِيد) – The Guider
  2. “Ya Allah, Ya Ṣabūr” (ٱلصَّبُور) – The Patient

“This place where you are right now
God circled on a map for you.

Wherever your eyes and arms and heart can move
Against the earth and the sky,
The Beloved has bowed there –

Our Beloved has bowed there knowing
You were coming.”
