Coaching Insight

Gratitude creates an ocean of blessings. It’s a significant topic for many coaches, psychologists, mystics, and basically everyone. This verse reveals the power of thankfulness: “When you are grateful, I will surely give you more and more.”  We can look at it from three approaches, bearing in mind the verse can contain infinite meanings.

Recognize and be grateful for what you already have. Gratitude amplifies what’s currently there. By focusing on what you have, you energize it, making it flourish like a beautiful garden.

Seeing with your heart’s eye makes everything feel more abundant, even if it’s the same as before or even a challenge. This grateful perspective brings peace to your heart, clears your mind, and ignites your faith.

Expressing gratitude leads to receiving more from God. This isn’t just about feeling more; it’s about actually receiving more – be it wealth, love, or answers to prayers. Each act of gratitude turns your heart into a magnet for additional blessings.

Scholars have mentioned that true gratitude is expressed through the tongue, heart, and limbs, the three in harmony. It involves the heart (intention and consciousness), the tongue (verbal praise and thanks), and the limbs (actions that reflect appreciation).

Daily Practice

Heart (intention): Let your heart hold the right intention when thanking – to feel it deeply, sincerely, and with presence before your words even form. Feel a deep sense of gratitude within your heart for everything you have.

Tongue (verbal thanks): Express it aloud, say الحمد لله – Alhamdulillah” often, and offer a simple “thank you” to others, even for the small things they do. Let gratitude flow naturally through your words.

Limbs (Action): Let your gratitude be seen in your actions; smile, help someone, give, or perform a good deed consciously as a form of thanks.

Reflect: Start a gratitude journal to capture blessings, even the smallest ones. This simple act of writing can deepen your awareness and appreciation.

Finally, end your day by repeating“الحمدلله” “Alhamdu lillaah”

As you begin to think about all the things in your life you are grateful for, you will be amazed at the never ending thoughts that come back to you of more things to be grateful for. You have to make a start, and then the law of attraction will receive those grateful thoughts and give you more just like them.”
