Day 62:

Guidance

أُولَٰئِكَ عَلَىٰ هُدًى مِنْ رَبِّهِمْ ۖ وَأُولَٰئِكَ هُمُ الْمُفْلِحُونَ

“These are upon guidance from their Lord. These are the successful.”

Surah Al-Baqarah 2:5

Coaching Insight

Being guided by God brings a deep sense of peace, for it reconnects us to our Creator. This guidance carries harmony, truth, and potential into our lives. Our soul is always in touch with God, even when the mind becomes too busy to notice the signs.

When we allow ourselves to be guided, we naturally align with our true path. Things begin to feel right when we surrender and follow what is slowly shown to us. And when we drift away from this guidance, a quiet unease often appears, not as punishment, but as a reminder to return to the Divine compass within.

The verse then speaks of ‘mufliḥūn’, those who attain true success. Even in the call to prayer we hear, “ḥayya ʿala al-falāḥ”, ‘come to success’. This reminds us that Divine guidance leads to success in all its forms: in our work, our relationships, and our inner life. There is a common misconception that spirituality goes against success and achievement, when in truth it is the greatest source of alignment, clarity, and energy, allowing us to step fully into our potential.

“If God is your guide, why fear the way?”

Rumi

Daily Practice

Reflect and journal about the signs you have been getting through your soul; those Divine whispers showing you the way.

In your prayers, you may also ask open-ended questions similar to the beautiful passage below.

If listening to these signs brings fear, gently soothe your mind and allow your heart to guide you. Trust that guidance unfolds with patience, not pressure.
