Healing
We send down the Quran as a healing and mercy for the believers
Surah Al-Isra 17:82
The Holy Quran is a guidebook for optimal living, covering everything from healthy habits and medicinal foods to mindful practices, social obligations, and personal growth. Its timeless presence speaks to every soul according to their stage of awakening. It transcends form and physical meaning and contains an infinite depth of meanings.
The Quran is also referred to as a ‘healing’ in Surah Yunus. It is described as a cure for what lies within the chest, an opening toward expansion and love
O humanity! Indeed, there has come to you a warning from your Lord, a cure for what is in the hearts, a guide, and a mercy for the believers.
Surah Yunus 10:57
Let us reflect on several of the topics we explored throughout our journey. We began by revisiting intention setting, how even the most mundane task can be transformed into a ritual through focus and sincere intention. We also explored purification with water, a physical act that mirrors the internal purification of the heart, allowing us to be in a state of purity, emptying ourselves in order to receive.
Building on that with attentive listening, pausing, grounding, and receiving the sounds and vibrations with presence. Your intuition heightens and listening begins to come from the heart. The healing comes from the recitation, the attentive listening, or even the vibration of the words. It is almost impossible to count the blessings, lessons, guidance, and wisdom we encounter through just a few of the ayat we came across.
Imagine what it would mean to truly embody the whole Quran.
“Trust your inner guidance and follow your heart, for your soul has your blueprint and the universe has your back.”
Hazel Butterworth
In her book Secrets of the Divine Love, A. Helwa writes; “We do not worship God because God needs it, we worship God because we need it. Prayer is not you reaching out for God, it is you responding to God, who first reached out to you.”
She also emphasizes; “While Ar-Rahim is seen as God’s qualities of love and mercy in action, Ar-Rahman is God’s nature of mercy, love, and grace. Ar-Rahim is a specified form of mercy that is given to those who open their hearts to God, longing for the light of His love, whereas Ar- Rahman shines upon all of creation without discrimination.”
Sit in a purified state, in a quiet space, with the intention of receiving. Listen to the recitation of the Quran and contemplate on the meanings.
Here are some topics and verses that we previously explored in Daily Divine Whispers. See which you resonate with and allow the words to settle in your heart.

“Dear friend, Your heart is a polished mirror. You must wipe it clean of the veil of dust which has gathered upon it, because it is destined to reflect the light of divine secrets. […] If only the lamp of divine secrets be kindled in your inner self the rest will come, either all at once or little by little. Some you already know, some we will tell you here. Read, listen, try to understand.”
